MELBOURNEíS SNEAK PREVIEW
OF ALL-NEW 2007 GSX-R1000
On display for the first time in Australia, the all-new 2007-model GSX-R1000 performance sportsbike is spearheading Suzukiís outstanding line-up of motorcycles and ATVs in the Melbourne Motorcycle Expo at the Melbourne Exhibition and Convention Centre.
Unveiled for the first time in Paris last week, Melbourne is now getting an exciting sneak preview of the brand-new 2007 GSX-R1000 sportsbike which is not expected to be available for sale in Australia until April next year.
A master in its class, the 2007 model offers even more power, technology and agility than ever before. The new 1000cc sportsbike boasts an impressive power increase with a unique, new, rider-adjustable engine management system with three performance settings.
Featuring an all-new twin exhaust system, the new GSX-R1000 is the most powerful, most responsive and cleanest-running open-class motorcycle Suzuki has ever built.
Epitomising the latest in race-bred technology, engineering and design in the world of performance motorcycles, the latest GSX-R1000 lines up alongside Suzukiís already available 2007-model GSX-R600 and GSX-R750.
Another exclusive, hot preview is the new big-bore version of the Bandit 1200S, Suzukiís new 2007 Bandit 1250S which was also unveiled in Paris last week.
Reinforcing Suzukiís reputation for exceptional performance, the display also offers highlights from an extensive range of streetbikes such as the new 2007 GSR600, the 2006 SV Series, plus sports-enduro tourers, scooters and the entire range of muscle and sports cruisers, including the head-turning Boulevard M109R.
Making its Melbourne Motorcycle Expo, the Boulevard M109R 1800cc muscle cruiser is an imposing machine packed with power to back up its brawny looks and features the largest reciprocating pistons of any bike or car in the world.
Rounding out a comprehensive display of off-road motorcycles, Suzuki has assembled an astounding range of 2007-model motocross machines, DR-Z road-trail weapons, fun bikes for young riders, plus farm and sports quads bikes.
Plus an exclusive up-close look at the Australian Motocross Championship winning RM-Z450 piloted by Team Shift Motul Suzukiís Daryl Hurley will excite aspiring motocrossers and spectators alike.
For the sheer thrill of the racetrack, Suzuki will be showing off its Team Yoshimura Suzuki Superbike (GSX-R1000) piloted by three-time Australian Superbike Champion Shawn Giles this season.
Kicking off an all-new Supersport program mid-year, Team Yoshimura Suzuki's exciting new Supersport racebike (GSX-R600) has already made a big impression on the racetrack and is set to wow the crowds in its first off-track showing at the Melbourne Motorcycle Expo.
