Harley Davidson 2007 Fatboy Review
What a day, getting to test ride the 2007 Harley Davidson Fatboy, oh yeah!
Major changes including: thicker bars, hidden wiring, 200 rear wheel, 17” rims, 96 Cube engine, 6 speed gearbox, we are talking significant changes here and all good of course.
I really felt the torque difference, up 17% from the 88 cube 2006 engine, 50 calibre bullet holes in the rims. It is now only available in fuel injected form.
Though I must say that riding through the twisty back roads of Ringwood, I soon realised that the fatter back end was not as stable around the corners like the 2006 with the 150 rear tyre. Interesting, I much prefer the 2006 for handling but the upgrades in engine power make up for it in the 2007 model, up 8 cubes.
Verdict: What are you waiting for? Bad points: 1-2 month wait, but well worth it.
Thank you Harley Davidson Australia, Peter Stevens Ringwood (Harley Heaven) for the opportunity to ride the magnificent new 2007 Harley Davidson Fat Boy.
